Paxos with Lifeventure

Here are a few of my favourite photos from a trip to the Greek island of Paxos with Lifeventure (makers of travel products and accessories) to shoot images for their 2016 catalogue. Lifeventure produce a very nice catalogue each year, combining high quality paper stock with smart design and imagery resulting in something that's a real pleasure to hold and flick through.

A few photos of the actual printed catalogue are at the bottom of this post - but first here's my selection, including some non-product shots that would probably otherwise remain unseen in my archive!

Paxos isn't too far from the UK, being just a few miles off the coast of north west Greece, but the journey there takes most of a day - flight to Corfu, taxi across town, 90 minute ferry to Paxos. We had lovely warm sun and blue skies on arrival, which stuck around for our entire stay.

First impressions - the island is stunning. I could stare at the view over to mainland Greece all day, and some of the rocky coastal features were jaw-dropping.

We took an afternoon trip to one of the many empty beaches for a swim with the travel towels. Nice refreshing swim for them, lovely golden light for me - everyone's happy!

During our stay we took a side trip to Antipaxos, a tiny island a few miles to the south of Paxos with a population of around 50. Dropping anchor and wading through the crystal clear water to an empty beach after cruising across the open sea was great fun.

A spot of ocean swimming in the lovely warm, clear water.

The largest settlement on Paxos is Gaios - a nice place to spend a morning wandering the alleyways and shopping in the markets.

One last gaze at that view across the Ionian Sea.

Above are a few pages of the finished product. The design team did a fantastic job laying out the catalogue pages with a mix of photos and products, I think it looks great.

Finally, thanks so much to the team at Lifeventure for inviting me on this trip - what a place!
